Terms governing your use of PrettyPrint.

Important

PrettyPrint helps draft and transform text using on-device AI, but you are responsible for reviewing everything before sending, publishing, relying on, or acting on it. The output reflects your text and your instructions. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended meanings. Everything you create with the App is your responsibility; the App is provided as-is and we accept no liability for what you produce or send.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using PrettyPrint ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and patrialabs LLC ("we," "us," "our"), the developer and operator of PrettyPrint.

2. Description of service

PrettyPrint is an AI-powered keyboard application for iOS that transforms text using Apple's on-device foundation models (Apple Intelligence). The App provides text transformation actions (e.g., grammar correction, translation, tone adjustment) that process text entirely on your device and return modified versions. You can also create your own transformation instructions and share them with others. The App is a tool that assists with writing; it does not provide professional advice of any kind. The App is sold as a one-time purchase through Apple's App Store and requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

3. No professional advice

PrettyPrint is a writing assistance tool. It does not provide and should not be relied upon for:

  • Legal advice or legal document preparation.
  • Medical, health, or clinical advice.
  • Financial, tax, or investment advice.
  • Employment, HR, or workplace advice.
  • Regulatory, compliance, or policy advice.
  • Any other form of professional, expert, or specialized advice.

If you need professional advice in any of these areas, consult a qualified professional. Do not use AI-generated text as a substitute for professional judgment.

4. AI-generated content

The text transformations produced by PrettyPrint are generated by Apple's on-device artificial intelligence models, directed by your text and your instructions (including custom actions you write or import). You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, biases, or content some may find inappropriate or offensive — particularly where your own instructions call for strong language, exaggeration, or provocative styles.
  • The output substantially reflects the input and instructions you provide. You — not PrettyPrint — decide what to generate and what to do with it, and you are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving any AI-generated text before using or sending it.
  • PrettyPrint does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, appropriateness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI-generated output.
  • You should not rely on AI-generated output for critical, legal, medical, financial, or safety-related communications without independent verification by a qualified professional.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any consequences arising from content you create or send with the App, including but not limited to miscommunication, offense, defamation, or professional harm.
  • On-device safety mechanisms are provided by Apple's platform and may block certain requests; we do not guarantee their behavior in either direction.

5. High-risk use prohibited

PrettyPrint is not designed, intended, or authorized for use in connection with:

  • Emergency communications or situations where delayed or inaccurate text could endanger health or safety.
  • Legal filings, court documents, or regulatory submissions without qualified professional review.
  • Medical, healthcare, or clinical decision-making.
  • Financial, tax, or investment decisions without qualified professional review.
  • Safety-critical systems, infrastructure, or regulated workflows.
  • Compliance submissions where errors could result in legal penalties or material harm.
  • Any application where incorrect, biased, or misleading AI output could cause significant harm to any person.

You assume all risk associated with using AI-generated content in any context.

6. User-submitted content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you submit to PrettyPrint for processing. By submitting text, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right to submit and process the content.
  • The content does not violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality rights.
  • You have obtained any necessary consents or authorizations before submitting content belonging to or concerning others.

You should exercise caution when submitting:

  • Confidential business or employer information.
  • Customer or client data.
  • Copyrighted or proprietary content.
  • Private third-party communications.
  • Regulated, protected, or sensitive personal data.

PrettyPrint processes text on your device and does not transmit it to us. Note that actions you choose to share embed their instruction text in the shared link. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. User responsibilities and prohibited uses

You agree that you will:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Review all AI-generated text before sending, publishing, or otherwise using it.

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the App to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Use the App for impersonation or to create content that falsely represents another person's identity or views.
  • Use the App to generate spam, phishing messages, malware instructions, or any form of fraudulent or deceptive content.
  • Use the App for harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of any individual or group.
  • Use the App to generate content intended to facilitate academic dishonesty where prohibited by applicable policies.
  • Use the App to generate unlawful, deceptive, or manipulative communications.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App or its sharing features in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our website or infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App without our written consent.

8. No account required

PrettyPrint does not require or offer an account — there is nothing to sign in to. Your actions, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device and are your responsibility to back up (e.g., via your device backup). Deleting the App deletes this data.

9. Purchase and billing

PrettyPrint is sold as a one-time purchase through Apple's App Store. All billing and refund policies are governed by Apple's terms; we do not process payments directly and never see your payment details. The purchase covers the App as delivered plus updates we choose to ship; it does not obligate us to provide any particular future feature.

10. Beta and experimental features

PrettyPrint may include features that are experimental, in beta, or under active development. These features:

  • May change, be modified, or be removed at any time without notice.
  • May be less stable or reliable than other features.
  • Are provided without any guarantee of continuity or future availability.
  • Are subject to the same disclaimers and limitations of liability as the rest of the App.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS.

YOU USE THE APP AND ITS OUTPUT ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM US OR THROUGH THE APP SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RODRIGO PATRIANOVA, PRETTYPRINT, OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.
  • ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OFFENSIVE CONTENT, OR UNINTENDED MEANINGS.
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA OR TRANSMISSIONS.
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OR PLATFORMS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO APPLE'S ON-DEVICE MODELS, THE APP STORE, OR WEBSITE HOSTING PROVIDERS.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITY. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless patrialabs LLC and PrettyPrint from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the App or any AI-generated content.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any content you submit to the App for processing.
  • Any claim by a third party related to your use of AI-generated output.

14. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, branding, and documentation are the intellectual property of patrialabs LLC. You retain ownership of the text you submit for processing. You own the AI-generated output to the extent permitted by applicable law, but you are solely responsible for how you use it.

15. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe that content available through PrettyPrint infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at legal@prettyprint.ai with:

  • A description of the intellectual property right you believe has been infringed.
  • A description of the content you believe is infringing.
  • Your contact information (name, email, mailing address).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

16. Third-party services and platform dependency

PrettyPrint depends on Apple's platform: distribution and billing via the App Store, and text transformation via Apple's on-device foundation models (Apple Intelligence), whose availability and behavior are controlled by Apple and may change with iOS updates. Our website and the optional prompt-catalog download are served by Firebase Hosting. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

17. Service availability

We strive to keep PrettyPrint available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

18. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 11 (Disclaimer), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), and 20 (Governing Law) survive termination.

19. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Sao Paulo, Brazil. You waive any objection to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to the venue of such courts.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

22. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of PrettyPrint and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether oral or written.
